The 14th annual campaign, this time covered 150 countries.
The Earth Hour campaign is held under the auspices of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in support of nature. All participants switch off the lights for exactly one hour and stop using electrical appliances, thus reminding each other that the resources of our planet are not infinite. The action was attended by AZIMUT Hotels in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Murmansk, Ufa, Vladivostok, Kyzyl, Pereslavl, Mirny and Kostroma.
In total, Earth Hour was supported in more than 160 cities in Russia. In Moscow, the main illumination of the Kremlin, the State Duma, the Bolshoi Theater, GUM, as well as more than 2,000 buildings, went out for one hour. Many city events took place on this day, including running marathons, bike rides, and flash mobs.
